2 · What you produce
One card per production process. Group products that differ only in size or shape and use the same input steel (e.g. all carbon-steel screws) — the EU rules require this grouping when the precursors are also the same in type, quantity and proportion.
3 · Steel or aluminium you bought
Rods, coils, billets, ingots — any CBAM good you bought and turned into your products. For most small factories this is most of the carbon in your product. Scrap, alumina, coke and carbon anodes are not precursors and count as zero — leave them out.
4 · Results
EU ETS prices move daily. Enter today's price — the report prints this date next to every € figure.
The file is created on your computer. Open it in Excel — it recalculates on opening. Send it to your EU importer together with the report.
